The LSA's new guide draws on the diverse experiences of the "Linguistics for Everyone" group of LSA members who have organized public-facing events, programs and resources to communicate the excitement of language science to a broad audience.
The International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA) provides more than 1,000 recordings of English speech by natives of nearly 100 countries. Each recording includes a standard reading passage and a selection of unscripted speech. IDEA is open for all to use and is accepting submissions for new recordings.
The goal of the LSA’s partnership with the Wiki Education Foundation to improve the quality of information about linguistics found on Wikipedia. The partnership will involve two components:
