The LSA is pleased to announce that it will be serving as the new host of the Semantics Archive, a forum intended for the distribution of papers to natural language semanticists and philosophers of language.

“Pop-up Mentoring”, organized by the LSA Committee on the Status of Women in Linguistics (COSWL), is a new mentorship program being piloted at several conferences in Spring 2018. In brief, these will be 2-hour events in which anyone who wants mentoring on a variety of topics can connect with established people in the field for help. There are just a few ground rules:
The LSA is making greater efforts to record programming conducted via the Annual Meeting Sessions, Linguistic Institute Workshops and Lectures, and 
In 2017, the LSA continued its ongoing programs and services on behalf of its mission: to advance the scientific study of language. Highlights of new and expanded activities are outlined below.  Advocacy
