The LSA is extremely pleased to announce the establishment of the Dennis R. and Carol Guagliardo Preston Fund for Diversity in Linguistics. The earnings will be used to support travel awards for linguistics students from underrepresented groups to attend the Annual Meeting.
The LSA's Committee on Gender Equity in Linguistics (COGEL), in collaboration with SALTED (the SALT Equity & Diversity committee), have developed a guidebook for conference organizers in linguistics on how to better organize an inclusive and equitable conference.
The Dynamic Language Infrastructure – Documenting Endangered Languages (DLI-DEL) Fellowships are offered as part of a joint, multi-year funding program of NEH and the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop and advance scientific and scholarly knowledge concerning endangered human languages. The application has been streamlined and consists of three pages, in contrast ot the previous twenty-page application.
