Members of the Society who have made distinguished contributions to the discipline may be recognized as Fellows of the Linguistic Society of America. Up to eight members per year may be recognized as fellows.

Any LSA member may submit a nomination for LSA Fellow status.  The nominee must have been a member for at least four years, continuously, prior to being nominated. The LSA values diversity, and we especially encourage nominations of linguists who have traditionally been under-represented among the Fellows.

A list of current LSA Fellows is available here.  If you are considering a nomination, this may serve as inspiration and help you avoid duplication.

To nominate someone for LSA Fellow status, click here.  Nominations are due no later than June 30, 2018.
