Preferred Qualifications: We are looking for candidates with
(1) demonstrated excellence in teaching introductory survey courses in linguistics as well as upper-division courses in core subfields such as syntax, morphology, phonology, phonetics, and semantics, and (2) a research specialization in second-language acquisition or heritage language acquisition. Preference will be given to candidates whose research specializations lie in the areas of phonetics and/or phonology. Interest and aptitude in teaching computational linguistics would also be welcome.

The faculty member is expected to teach courses that will align with the department’s educational mission as well as mentor undergraduate Cognitive Science majors and Linguistics minors.
