The LSA is pleased to provide open access (OA) to all of its scholarly publications. This OA publishing model reflects the values of the LSA, while ensuring the financial sustainability of the Society’s other programs and operations. Financial support for OA is made possible via a variety of funding mechanisms, including paid library subscriptions, LSA membership dues, in-kind support, and charitable contributions. We invite readers to join the LSA, make a financial contribution, or volunteer to serve as peer reviewers or members of the editorial team.

Journals

Language – Green OA

Our flagship journal, published since 1925, is available freely online via the following mechanisms:

  • Project Muse (2001 – present): selected articles are available if the authors choose to pay a small processing charge. Waivers are available. All supplementary materials related to published articles are automatically made available on an open basis at no charge.
  • JSTOR (1925 – current year minus 5) – all articles are available to those without library access via the Register and Read program.
  • LSA OA Content Archive (2013 – current year minus 1) – all articles are freely available after one year of publication.
