Bloch Correspondence
These materials are letters between Bernard Bloch, second editor of Language (1940-1966) and 29th LSA President (1953), and Henry Hoenigswald, a noted historical linguist at the University of Pennsylvania, and the 34th LSA President (1958). They pertain to various aspects of the running of the journal, e.g. manuscripts on which Bloch sought advice from Hoenigswald, discussion of book reviews, and other such matters. They were donated to the LSA by Professor Anna Morpurgo-Davies of the University of Oxford, in January 2013.
