Please be advised that WILMA is currently in a state of transition and therefore no new mentoring relationships are being formed. All text below refers to the old system that is currently undergoing a redesign. LSA members will be informed when the new system has been implemented. Thank you for your patience during this transition.

Check out our new Pop-Up Mentoring Initiative for an alternative mentoring experience!

Goal

This project provides women in linguistics with mentors to help them with professional development skills and advice at all stages of their careers: from undergraduates to women in senior positions. To find out more about the benefits of a mentoring relationship see the section Benefits of a Mentoring Relationship.

Eligibility

All women in linguistics are eligible. LSA membership is not required. For more information see the question "Who Can Be in WILMA?" on the FAQ Page.

How does it work?

By filling out a short questionnaire you can sign up to participate in individual or group mentoring. You can sign up to be a mentor, a mentee, a group organizer, a group participant, or any combination of these. Once you submit the questionnaire, you will have access to postings for the mentoring arrangement(s) you requested in your questionnaire. Your own information will also be posted on the site for other registered users to read.
